Field-based Business Development Executive

The Role:

Working in the field / from home, the successful applicant will focus on converting quality leads into sales through on-line product demonstration and contract negotiation. The role involves both the development of your own leads and the progression of warm leads, generated by our Marketing department and your own dedicated office-based Sales Executive.

You will take responsibility for developing and maintaining your own pipeline of activity, increasing the customer base within your territory, building relationships with customers and diligently working towards your own performance targets.

You will visit the Keighley Head Office twice a month to meet with the UK Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Generation of new business through business development activity.
•    Conversion of leads in line with revenue targets.
•    Developing and maintaining your own pipeline of contacts.
•    Promotion and demonstration of products to non-customers.
•    Ensuring you keep up to date with industry standards and WebAnywhere’s product suite.
•    Providing feedback on market activity to the Sales Manager.

The Package:

•    Salary negotiable to £30k (OTE £40k ++ uncapped).

Web Developer - Level 2

 
Working within a small team to develop, maintain and update company and customer websites, eLearning and website applications using a variety of technologies, ensuring that such applications are visually engaging, meet user requirement specifications, operate correctly on popular web browsers and conform to agreed standards and conventions.  Responsible for supervising junior developers regarding coding standards and quality assurance.

Ability to build all School Jotter websites, HTML websites and Moodle themes and builds.  Should have extensive server knowledge.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Supervising the general quality of developer's work, ensuring essential quality is achieved and maintained
•    Working closely with junior/other developers to improve skills and coding standards
•    Use PHP, Javascript, HTML and CCS to design, develop and maintain company and customer websites, eLearning and web applications to meet client requirements
•    Produce web-based applications incorporating back-end databases
•    Maintain and support existing websites and web based applications
•    Aid in the optimisation of new and existing websites to improve their Search Engine Rankings
•    Identify new and upcoming web technologies and development trends
•    Provide technical expertise and advice both to clients and in-house colleagues
•    Maintain and improve quality control and coding standards
•    Be aware of user interface and usability implications of all developments
•    Ensure all relevant documentation is carried out to requirements
•    Ensure all code backups are carried out to requirements
•    Provide a strategic direction to the code base and that developments are optimised to deliver the most efficient code structure possible
•    Ensure all code is tested to a high standard against specifications
•    Give accurate estimates for projects, making sure that these estimates are adhered to
•    Produce user and technical documentation for web applications as required

Web Developer - Level 1


Responsible for all internal and external system administration within the company, including the provisioning of new workstations and server machines, and the administration thereof; provision of company-wide IT services e.g. email, calendaring etc.  Responsible for system security at all levels.

Should be able to complete Crs on School Jotter and websites.  Create surveys and accounts for the Anywhere products.  Create basic School Jotter templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Perform daily system administration within the company
•    Capable of giving hardware support for printers, monitors, desktop PCs and laptops
•    Provide out of hours support for business critical software and hardware
•    Problem management (analysis for frequently occurred incident – solve route cause)
•    Testing new software, Windows patches, configuring applications
•    Problem Management, analysis of frequently occurred incidents
•    Design network structure (including configuring hardware devices)
•    Responsible for the maintainance of the phone system
•    Responsible for the safe deployment and upgrading of company products, e.g. School Jotter
•    Responsible for maintaining and monitoring backups of critical business data (School Login/School Jotter/Sage etc)
•    Logging IT support issues and resolutions
•    Liaising with external contractors (Bytemark/Gradwell etc)
•    Responsible for company wide anti-virus policy
•    Providing input into company IT strategy and planning
