Moodle is a Course Management System (CMS). It’s a free/open source software package that’s designed to enable educators to create quality online courses otherwise known as Virtual Learning Environments (VLE’s). It is used worldwide in all types of educational institutions: from schools and universities to independant tutors.

Moodle can be run on Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and any other systems that support PHP and an SQL type database (for example MySQL).

Our Moodle training events are a great way to appreciate the potential of working with Moodle and quickly provide you with the knowledge and skills to realise your aims. Our Moodle training courses are hands-on workshops that are designed to develop rapid familiarisation with the course creation tools within Moodle.

In this training session you will discover the potential of Moodle activities including:

-Assignment
-Forum
-Quiz
-Wiki
-Glossary

You will have the opportunity to try different activities (as your students would) and then practise setting them up yourself.

The training day will begin at 9.30 (coffee will be available from 9.00) and finish at 15.00. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and lunch is also provided.
